Evolution of the world’s tallest buildings

From 1901 through to the faltering Jeddah Tower project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Started in 2013 with ambitions to be the first building in the world to reach over a kilometre tall. Originally planned to tower over 1600 metres, the reduced height will still beat out the current title holder by the same architect of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Should construction ever be completed you’ll be able to enjoy your own views of the Red Sea from 150 floors at the Four Seasons hotel!
